Manta AS101 Ethoxy-functional siloxane fluid

Manta AS101 is an ethoxy-functional siloxane fluid characterized by its extremely low viscosity and high ethoxy content (20%-50%).

Through a controlled hydrolysis and condensation reaction with atmospheric moisture, it rapidly crosslinks to form a durable, highly hydrophobic polysiloxane network. It is engineered as a highly cost-effective, bulk treatment agent for imparting exceptional water repellency to diverse industrial powders and porous substrates.

1. Fire Extinguishing Powders: Acts as a critical hydrophobic treatment for dry chemical fire extinguishing agents (e.g., ABC powders). It coats the powder particles, preventing moisture-induced caking and ensuring excellent free-flowing properties.
2. Textile & Fabric Finishing: Serves as a reactive water-repellent additive in textile treatment formulations.
3. Industrial Defoamers & Mold Release: Can be formulated into specialized industrial release agents and defoaming systems.
4. Construction Water Repellents: Used as an active base ingredient for formulating cost-effective penetrating sealers for brick, masonry, and concrete.

How To Use

Dilute Manta AS101 with a suitable anhydrous solvent (such as aliphatic hydrocarbons) at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:20. Mix thoroughly, then soak or spray onto the surface to be treated. Optimal crosslinking and maximum water repellency are typically achieved after 24 to 36 hours of curing at room temperature, depending on the substrate’s porosity and ambient humidity.
